Constraints on early dark energy from CMB lensing and weak lensing tomography

چکیده
Dark energy can be studied by its influence on the expansion of the Universe as well as on the growth history of the large-scale structure. In this paper, we follow the growth of the cosmic density field in early dark energy cosmologies by combining observations of the primary CMB temperature and polarisation power spectra at high redshift, of the CMB lensing deflection field at intermediate redshift and of weak cosmic shear at low redshifts for constraining the allowed amount of early dark energy. We present these forecasts using the Fisher-matrix formalism and consider the combination of Planck-data with the weak lensing survey of Euclid. We find that combining these data sets gives powerful constraints on early dark energy and is able to break degeneracies in the parameter set inherent to the various observational channels. The derived statistical 1σ-bound on the early dark energy density parameter is σ(Ωe d ) = 0.0022 which suggests that early dark energy models can be well examined in our approach. In addition, we derive the dark energy figure of merit for the considered dark energy parameterisation and comment on the applicability of the growth index to early dark energy cosmologies.

Predicted Dark Energy Constraints using 3D Weak Lensing
I hereby present two different methods that will allow weak lensing shape measurements of galaxies combined with redshift information – 3D weak lensing – to constrain the dark energy equation of state. The two methods are the geometric ratio test (Taylor et al. 2007) and a shear harmonic test (Heavens et al. 2006). The results presented here use a Fisher matrix approach for each method to place...
متن کاملGravitational Lensing Constraints on Dynamical and Coupled Dark Energy
Upcoming Weak Lensing (WL) surveys can be used to constrain Dark Energy (DE) properties, namely if tomographic techniques are used to improve their sensitivity. In this work, we use a Fisher matrix technique to compare the power of CMB anisotropy and polarization data with tomographic WL data, in constraining DE parameters. Adding WL data to available CMB data improves the detection of all cosm...
متن کاملMeasuring dark energy properties with 3D cosmic shear
We present parameter estimation forecasts for present and future 3D cosmic shear surveys. We demonstrate in particular that, in conjunction with results from cosmic microwave background (CMB) experiments, the properties of dark energy can be estimated with very high precision with large-scale, fully 3D weak lensing surveys. In particular, a 5-band, 10,000 square degree ground-based survey of ga...
متن کاملBiased Dark Energy Constraints from Neglecting Reduced Shear in Weak Lensing Surveys
The weak gravitational lensing of distant galaxies by large-scale structure is expected to become a powerful probe of dark energy. By measuring the ellipticities of large numbers of background galaxies, the subtle gravitational distortion called “cosmic shear” can be measured and used to constrain dark energy parameters. The observed galaxy ellipticities, however, are induced not by shear but b...
متن کاملDark Energy Constraints from the Ctio Lensing Survey
We perform a cosmological parameter analysis of the 75 square degree CTIO lensing survey in conjunction with CMB and Type Ia supernovae data. For ΛCDM cosmologies, we find that the amplitude of the power spectrum at low redshift is given by σ8 = 0.81 +0.15 −0.10 (95% c.l.), where the error bar includes both statistical and systematic errors. The total of all systematic errors is smaller than th...
